SE17Working supported me with creating a CV and applying to jobs online. We also looked at ringing and emailing potential employers for work. I attended SE17Working's Confidence and Motivation workshop in October 2019 and I found it incredibly useful; it gave me great ideas to stay motivated when looking for work.
Now that I have found work I feel great! When I was not working I was feeling stressed because I had bills to pay and it was not easy to get by, but that has changed now that I have a job.

Thanks to SE17Working I have my CSCS card which I would not have been able to pay for on the limited benefits I received from the Job Centre. If anyone has any difficulties or requires help the best people to go to are SE17Working.

I responded to a text message sent to my mum asking for people interested in a paid placement. On the same day SE17Working staff helped me to do a video application as requested by the employer. We took about 6 takes to get it right...They just kept helping me. It paid off as we got a good take in the end which the staff sent through on my behalf.
I was definitely over-thinking and stressed before, but now I feel a lot happier. Finding a job has taken a huge weight off my shoulders!

When I was recruited onto the pop-up shop, It helped me get back into the rhythm of being back in work. I also felt that the SE17Working staff were genuinely interested in helping me to find a job that was right for me instead of just treating me like another number like I felt I was treated when claiming benefits.
